If personal or substituted service cannot be effected after 3 diligent attempts, an affidavit of diligence will be provided outlining the details of each attempt. This will be reviewed by the judge who may then order alternative service. This is NOT often necessary as most defendants ARE served within the first 3 attempts, but available to you at no additional charge if needed.
